Federal Aviation Administration completes training with SkillsNET

WAXAHACHIE, TX January 2007 -

SkillsNET recently completed Skills Analyst Certification training for five personnel from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This training will empower them to manage job profiling, job analysis and skills standards implementation for their organizations employees. It is the mission of the FAA to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world, and to improve the safety and efficiency of aviation. By working hand in hand with SkillsNET; utilizing their SkillObject® Designer software, they will be able to achieve their mission.

The data collected in this effort will concentrate on the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) System Operations Traffic Flow Management community. It will provide a basis for creating a revised curriculum, and the resulting analyses will produce job specifications describing essential qualifications for entry into each job. The FAA will also receive a description of each position that identifies tasks, activities, and responsibilities in the projected target environment.

The outcome from this effort will provide the FAA with a list of requirements used to hire the best people for critical positions, the ability to acquire the right talent, and possess a relevant list of pre-requisite skills and knowledge necessary for their employees to succeed.
